Iran Reports Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.
Missile Defenses Activated
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage fell on a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
