Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging year, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with former mentor Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's initial title since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt since that period of the previous year.
The win also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and play positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour title, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
